*** Price is for ONE QUAD (4) of CCS Boards, Pre-soldered ***
These are improved Output Constant-Current Supplies (CCSs) for the Torpedo III. They are meant to take the place of R19, R20, R21, and R22 for improved performance of the Torpedo III.
These are designed by ECP Audio. Beezar Audio has pre-soldered and fully tested them before packaging. Because of the nature of the surface-mount design, these are only available in finished/tested form and in quads. Simply install them on the resistor pads where you would've soldered R19 - R22. The "A" pad goes closest to the heat-sinked transistor that is next to each resistor. They must be installed flush on the top surface of the PCB in a vertical position (like a heat sink). Dow Corning 748 is recommended for a fillet at the OutputCC and Torpedo III PCB intersection.
Full details for installation are on the Torpedo III website at diyforums.org.
Note: these PCBs are broken apart into tiny individual PCBs from the manufacturer. As a result, there are sprues sticking out in the middle of all four sides of the tiny boards. These will not affect the function. Neither will they get in the way if you solder them flush on the bottom of the PCB as recommended. If you're a stickler for appearances, however, feel free to sand the sprues away flush to the edges of the boards.
